As a blog owner, it’s your job to come up with all kinds of interesting new content for your readers. Otherwise, your blog will become stale and fade into obscurity. Believe it or not, many people love blogging but sometimes find it hard to come up with new content!
Have you suffered from blogger’s block? If so, don’t worry because you aren’t the first person and won’t be the last. The question now is, how do you get around this stumbling block? What can you do to find inspiration for your next awesome blog post?
I’d like to share with you some concepts that I used in the past when I got stuck for ideas. I still use some of them today! Anyway, without further ado, these intriguing ideas will soon get your creative juices flowing:
Go to the library
Do you remember the time when people used to read those paper products called books? That’s right; it’s time to step off the Internet and do something offline! Libraries can be useful resources when getting inspiration for your next blog post.
You can read all kinds of books related to your industry or blog theme. They can make you think about the sorts of topics that are important but sometimes fall by the wayside. The best bit of all? Libraries are free to visit and use!
Don’t forget to take your laptop with you. That way, you can note down some ideas or even start working on your next post while you’re there.
Evict yourself from home
For some people, the places where they live can stifle their creativity. As a result, they don’t feel like writing anything interesting on their blogs. Let’s say that you have a travel blog. You can’t write about anything interesting if you don’t go anywhere!
Why not spend a few months on the road and live out of an RV? You can explore the country and post up your adventures online. If you’re planning to do that, don’t forget to pay for an RV virtual mail service. That way, any important mail can get held for you somewhere. Otherwise, ask a family member if you can use their address for anything official.
Touring the country in an RV is the ultimate inspiration catalyst. Plus, you’ll save lots of money by not having to rent an apartment!
Join a local debating group
Believe it or not, there are local groups that you can join that allow members to debate all kinds of topics. Joining one of them can help you to learn something new about an existing subject. Or it can help you to think differently about your views on something.
Taking part in debating sessions can give you the fuel you need to write something engaging on your blog.
Attend an industry event
If your blog is about a particular industry, why not attend some industry events? They are excellent sources of news material for your blog. You can also take photos of new concepts and products on display and feature them on your site.
I hope you’ve found these concepts useful. Let us know what you think of them, and if you’ve any you’d like to add!
